Reservations

Reservations are the responsibility of the participant. You must register for your hotel room directly with the hotel.

The site hotel where sessions will be held is the Sheraton Biscayne Bay Hotel, 495 Brickel Avenue, Miami FL 33131. If you need overnight accommodations, please stay at the site hotel as the conference sponsors have contracted for a certain number of hotel room nights to match up with our meeting space needs. The guest room rate for all Interhands II attendees is $75 single, double, triple or quad occupancy, plus 12.5% tax for all who do not check in with a tax-exempt voucher that matches their payment. (That is, if you are paying with a state credit card, and have a tax-exempt certificate that matches the business name on the credit card, the hotel should not charge you tax.) This rate is Federal Per Diem for this time of year for this location. The Federal Per Diem rate is being extended to all Interhands II guests regardless of status as a Federal Employee.
Call the hotel directly at 305-373-6000 to access this contracted rate. The national toll-free number for Sheratons and the national web site will not be able to access this rate. (Nonetheless, you can learn more about this hotel in general from the www.sheraton.com web site by entering Miami, FL, US and searching hotels. The Sheraton Biscayne Bay should pop up and their site lists amenities, location and other useful information.)

Please make your reservations no later than March 29, 2002, as reservations made after this date will be taken on a space and rate-available basis. The hotel will extend this group rate for up to three days before and after the conference dates on a space-available basis.

Parent commands are responsible for travel, lodging and per diem.

Checking in When You Arrive at the Site Hotel

There will be an informal check in to pick up your materials packet in the hotel lobby from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Sunday night, April 28, or you may pick up your packet between 7:00 am and 7:30 am on Monday morning.
