Nancy B. Mock, Dr. PH

Dr. Mock is Associate Director of the CDMHA, as well as Director and Associate Professor, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane's Center for International Resource Development and the Department of International Health and Development. She will support Dr. Bertrand in the management of CDMHA activities at Tulane as well as undertake specific technical activities related to the needs assessment and research elements of the program. Dr. Mock holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Yale University and a doctorate in public health from Tulane University. She has extensive experience throughout the world in developing surveillance systems. She assisted Dr. Bertrand in the development of the FEWS program at Tulane, serving first as the field manager of FEWS and later as a co-investigator. Dr. Mock currently works with USAID, by providing policy analysis, to address Complex Humanitarian Emergencies in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has provided technical assistance to UNICEF and other donors in Latin America to develop nutrition information systems.
